Carolyn Allison

Anganette Young, CEO

Anganette Young is a distinguished alumnus of Clark College. She earned a Master Degree in Social Work from Florida State University and a Master Degree in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. She has served on local, state and national Boards of Directors including the American Red Cross, Southeast Branch.She joined NHCHC Staff December 29, 2011.


 

Althea Johnson, Deputy Director

Ms. Johnson has a Masters of Science Degree in Management from the New Jersey institute of Technology.  She has more than 15 years of experience in administration and management of community health centers.  Ms. Johnson joined the staff of New Hanover Community Health Center in October 2007.

John Ficht, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Fitch is a graduate of Dowling College, Oakdale, New York.  He has more than 20 years of experience in Health care financing.  He started with New Hanover Community Health Center in September 2010.

Nalini Baijnath, M.D. Medical Director

Doctor Baijnath is a Family Practice physician.  She graduated from The Medical University of the Americas.  She did her family practice residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.  She is board certified.  Dr. Baijnath speaks Spanish.  Dr. Baijnath has been on the staff at New Hanover Community Health Center since October 2006.



Carla Savinon, Family Nurse Practitioner-Certified

Carla Saviñon has been on staff as a Family Nurse Practitioner at New Hanover Community Health Center since July 1999. She received her BSN from UNCW in 1991, MSN from Duke University in 1999 and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Duke University in 2011. She is also on faculty at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her areas of clinical interest include women’s health, chronic disease management and childhood obesity.
Khadijia Tribié, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician

Dr. Tribié, a graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine, completed her residency at Tulane University School of Medicine. She became a Fellow with the American Board of Pediatrics in 2007.
Dr. Tribié brings five years of experience to NHCHC and will begin providing services in January 2012
Carol Flaugher, Women's health Nurse Practioner

Ms Flaugher is a women's health nurse practioner specializing in obstertrical and gynecologic care of women.
She received her nurse practitioner training at Emory University Atlanta, GA. Ms Flaugher has been providing OB/GYN care for twelve years as a practioner and is involved in Women’s halth Care as an RN for over 25 years
Shelley Brown, Family Nurse Practitioner

Shelley Brown has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since March of 2008. She earned her BSN from Malone University in 2003 and went on to receive her MSN from Malone University in 2007. Shelley is a member of the North Carolina Nurses Association and she volunteers at the New Hope Clinic in Southport. Her areas of clinical interest include preventative health and chronic disease management.

Erin Williamson, Family Nurse Practitioner

Mr. Williamson is a Family Nurse Practitioner.  He received his MSN  Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  Mr. Williamson worked at Wesley Long Community Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina and New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, North Carolina  prior to joining the staff of New Hanover Community Health Center in August 2009.

Richard Butler, DDS, Acting Dental Director

Dr. Butler is a graduate of the School of Dentistry, Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. He has been on the dental staff at New Hanover Community Health Center since April 2000.
Taylor Edgerton, Dentist

Dr. Edgerton is a General Dentist. She received her degree from the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry. Dr. Edgerton was recognized by the American Association of Public Health Dentistry for her Achievement in Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health during her time at UNC School of Dentistry. Dr. Edgerton is working to become an adjunct faculty member of UNC School of Dentistry


Cynthia Yauch, R.D.H

Ms. Yauch is a Registered Dental Hygienist.  She has an Associates Degree in Applied Dental Hygiene from the Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  Ms. Yauch joined the staff of New Hanover Community Health Center in September 2005.
